Noise Activated Warning Signs are an effective solution to alerting workers to wear ear protection equipment only when necessary. For example, where there are areas within the site where noise levels vary due to different processes or working patterns.
According to Industry Safety Law, areas in which employees are subject to hazardous noise levels must be clearly defined, and workers clearly notified of the risk.
It’s important to note that areas are filled with varying noise sources from different machines and sometimes at different times of the day, so employees aren’t always subjected to a constant noise level. Noise levels can fluctuate above and below the Lower Action Level of 80 dB(A), where hearing protection must be provided.
Designed as a low-cost and effective solution, our Noise Activated Warning Signs are either standalone or fixed to a wall, and illuminate whenever the noise levels exceed the pre-set levels, supplied at 80 dB(A).
