This is the Svan 958A Class 1 Four-Channel Sound and Vibration analyser which is dedicated for all applications that require simultaneous class 1 sound and vibration assessment. Each of the four input channels can be independently configured for sound or vibration detection with different filters and RMS detector time constants which gives users an enormous measurement flexibility.
A real advantage of this instrument is the capability to perform advanced analysis simultaneously to the level meter mode. This allows the user to obtain broadband results such as Leq, RMS, LMax, LMin, LPeak together with four-channel analysis like FFT or octave band analysis.
Available analyser functions include FFT, 1/1 or 1/3 octave, cross spectra, sound intensity, RT60 and more.
There is 4-channel time-domain signal recording to .wav format as well as an exceptional feature. All of the measurement results are stored in a non-volatile 32 MB internal memory or a USB memory stick and they can be easily downloaded to a PC with SvanPC++ software. It can be offered with GPRS modem or LAN and WLAN connection module.
These interfaces provide easy remote access to instrument settings and data over Internet and local area network together with SvanPC++ RC remote communication software. It is powered from four AA standard or rechargeable batteries as well as from the external DC power source or USB interface. There is a robust case and lightweight design which accomplish the exceptional features of this new generation instrument.

This piece of advanced software supports Svantek measuring instruments. Each Svantek device is is easy to use and a complete measuring systems because of the functionalities and extended capabilities in this advanced application. The software has been divided for several specialised modules by distinguishing application fields in order to give users the perfectly customised, powerful and sophisticated tool. The functions provided by the main module include measurement data downloading from instruments to PC, measurement setups creating, basic Leq/RMS recalculation, measurement results in text, tabular and graphical format, export data to spread sheets or text editor applications.
