Ohaus Explorer® Analytical Balance - EC Type Approved and Internal Calibration
This is the Ohaus Explorer® series which has risen to the next level of ingenuity. It has expanded on its modern features and design to offer unmatched functionality in a line of high performance balances unlike any other on the market.
Its ingenious design provides a base and display separate for maximum flexibility in anywork area. The draftshield models isolate the weighing chamber to enhance stability and speed results whilst offering maximum accessibility to the weighing chamber through top-mounted side doors or through the versatile top door which flips or slides open. Hands-free entry is available with the optional automated side doors. There is intuitive operation with the large colour touch-screen display, icon driven applications, software which features 14 unique application modes and a 3 level adjustable angle display make. The Explorer is the easiest to use, most advanced balance of its class today. All of the Explorers have newly optimized linearity and repeatability specifications and enhanced vibration filtering for better balance stability. The models come standard with AutoCal™ automatic internal calibration. Fast and stable weighing results have 3x3 filtering setup. The explorer models additionally offer traditional external calibration and these combined enhancements improve efficiency, accuracy and throughput.
The construction is a metal base with an ABS top housing, stainless steel pan. There is also a glass draftshield with flip-top door with a replaceable in-use cover. A 3-door draftshield with removeable panels on 0.1mg and 1mg models with draftshield light. The modular display design with adjustable angle attaches to the base, wall or optional tower. There is a level assist feature with illuminated level indicator and there is a selectable environmental and auto-print settings. An integral weigh below-hook, a protective in-use cover and a software lock switch are all features of the Explorer. The display is a high resolution 14.5cm (diagonal) full colour VGA touch display including QWERTY and numeric key pads plus weighing capacity indication. There is easy access communication ports (USB and RS-232) plus 3rd communication port slot (Ethernet or 2nd RS232). GLP and GMP includes date and time and direct data transfer.
