This is the Noise Level Warning Kit includes the Castle Sonus GA216L Class 2 Logging Sound Level Meter and the GA902 Noise Warning Sign. The GA216L is a logging Class 2 meter and the GA902 can be set to trigger at different dB and therefore taking a measurement first is helpful when setting the GA902. When you buy this kit you receive a 5% discount on the normal price for all of the items individually.
This is the Sonus GA216L Class 2 Logging Sound Level Meter which is a pocket sized sound level meter and brings simplicity and power to the worlds of Environmental Sound Monitoring and Noise at Work. The GA216L is the top of the Castle Pocket Range of Sound Level Meters. It is an Environmental and Noise at Work Sound Meter which boasts a combined integrating sound level meter with full data-logging capability.
The GA902 Noise Warning Sign activates only when the noise exceeds a pre-set level allowing exposed workers to wear ear defenders only when absolutely necessary, as ear defenders are often a less than popular safety measure. According to industrial safety law, areas subject to hazardous noise must be clearly defined, and workers notified of the danger. In many cases, the noise hazard is intermittent and that's precisely the situation for which the GA902 was designed. This meter is suitable for most industrial situations as it has a rugged construction. The warning text is generally supplied to EC requirement but alternative languages and graphics are available to order. There is an optional remote microphone which enables the sign itself to be in a prominent position while the microphone can be placed closer to a major noise source, order as GA902R. You can fit the optional Remote-Beacon which greatly increases the warning impact, especially in a large area. It is a self-contained unit housing its electronics in a tough case and can be easily installed and set for action. The front panel text is available as standard in EC or USA forms, but it can be ordered in a variety of colours and in any language. The front panel is completely blank when idle but it is brilliantly lit when activated to give an easily noticed warning. It is a complete system so outputs from the master unit can also trigger other external devices such as machines or process cut-off actuators. Custom screen text can be obtained where necessary.
