Tier 3 - Assessment by a qualified person Tier 3 of the HAVS Health Surveillance guidelines dictate that, "an assessment of grip strength and manual dexterity should be made, ideally using a dynamometer for grip strength and the Purdue pegboard or other means for manual dexterity." A Hand-Dynamometer can be used to measure and monitor grip strength, Touch-Test Sensory Evaluators can be used to monitor the nerve sensors at different points of the hand, and a Purdue Pegboard can be used to measure and monitor dexterity.
