ETI 7000 Damp Meter and Moisture Meter
This is the 7000 Moisture/Damp meter which is a compact, simple to use, multi-purpose moisture meter. The ideal applications are making rapid moisture assessments within a wide range of industrial materials which include brickwork, plaster, concrete and wood. Housed in a flip-top polypropylene case this instrument incorporates a clear analogue meter which has five colour-coded scales which are wood 1, wood 2, concrete, plaster and a reference scale. It measures free water in industrial materials and indicates the relative dampness of a material. The timber/wood scales are calibrated from 14% to 30% in wood 1 and 15% to 30% in wood 2.
Supplied for both scales are comprehensive tables of wood groups. The plaster scale is calibrated from 8% to 20% and the concrete scale is calibrated from 5% to 14%. Meanwhile the reference scale is calibrated from 1 to 10 and it is used to take comparison readings without a reference to percentage moisture content. All of the scales have colour coded areas. Red indicates a high moisture content whilst green indicates low moisture content. Each of the meters comes supplied with a remote 2-pin moisture probe with a one metre PVC connecting lead which makes it easier to take readings in awkward places.
Pins from the probe are fully replaceable via the user. Small and sharp measuring pins mean that measurements can be taken with virtually no marks left behind which makes it ideal for many trades including flooring contractors, wood product manufacturers and merchants and surveyors. Supplied with each moisture meter is a moisture probe, 50 spare standard replacement tips and instructions for use.
